Don Basil

Faculty & Trainer, The LogicMills School of Thinking

Basil had always been interested in the pursuit of wisdom. Being
Catholic, he was looking everywhere for this rare treasure, except
within his own Church. After a deep spiritual encounter with God one
evening in a retreat, he realised that wisdom was to be found in Truth
and that Truth was to be found in the Catholic Church. Since that
realisation a few years ago, he has 'hastened slowly' deeper into his religion, and life has not been the same.

Basil is a member of the faculty at the LogicMills School of Thinking
where he teaches philosophical logic to school students and corporate
organisations. He has contributed to the publication of a logic puzzle
book 'The Shady Puzzle' and is currently working on a project to
develop logic-based iPhone apps for the public.

Interested in philosophy, theology and sacred scripture, he has
recently led his 20-member youth Bible ministry, λόγος ('logos'), in
the organising of a nationwide Bible seminar. With lack of time,
funding, and manpower, they had little choice but to embark on a
system of varied but readily-available Internet tools to promote and
co-ordinate the event, and ended up with a full capacity seminar hall
along with a back-up hall being fully utilised to accommodate the overflow.

Currently discerning the next step in his life, he is growing in the
knowledge of God everyday, enjoying his job, and learning to pray well.
